Hi, I’m Laura Kozma, and welcome!
I believe in using the power of baby steps, prototyping, and experimentation to improve your life.
Coming attractions: Eventually I’d like to create informational videos and animations, and provide books and courses. If this was the Web in 1999, you’d be seeing an animated GIF of a construction worker with a COMING SOON message right now. Be very, very glad it’s not 1999.
I am a wife and mother of two. I was laid off from my consulting job in 2003. Coincidentally at that time, the long-term caregivers for my children could no longer take care of them, so rather than getting replacement care, I became a stay-at-home mom. I’ve been doing that ever since.
I’m a lifelong resident of New Jersey, USA. You may find some “Jersey tude”, accents, and pork roll along the way, although I promise to watch my language. 🙂
I’m a fan of personality tests. I don’t know how accurate they are scientifically, but I think they’re fun, and when they can give insight, I’m all for them. I’m strongly introverted, so much of this blog should be seen through that lens. I am INTP according to Myers-Briggs, and a 5w4 according to the Enneagram. All of my strengths according to StrengthsFinder fit into the category of Strategic leader. I was surprised to find that I’m a Rebel according to Gretchen Rubin’s Four Tendencies quiz, but not at all surprised to find that I’m an Eeyore according to Gretchen’s Tigger vs. Eeyore quiz. 🙂 (Aside: is a smiley face emoji appropriate when writing about Eeyore? Hmmm….)
And, finally, I’m a big animal lover in general, and a cat lover in particular. Imagine that: a middle-aged woman who loves cats! Here’s a picture of Buttercream for your approval. Psssstt! Gorgeous cat, right? Well, if she ever tries to get me in trouble, I have a picture of her that doesn’t look so hot. And it was taken at Christmas time, nudge, nudge, wink, wink!
